Wedi Tkabo, one of the most popular Eritrean singers and the winner of the 2007 song of the year, held interview with beilul.com about his tour in Europe for Eritrean festival. He also responded to a story deliberately fabricated by a web site that serves the interest of foreign powers. Visibly upset about the claim, he said “This is a serious thing, to talk about some one you don’t know saying he did this, he claimed asylum. It is hard. What I want to say is they need to be careful, they could be held liable,”

Describing himself as just one of the many, Eritrea has, he said, even if it was true, it was not right to make a big deal out of a single individual to weaken people's morale and make enemies happy. Wedi Tkabo has captured the mood of the entire nation with his latest song, ygermen alo, a song which creatively describes the great injustice that has been committed against Eritrea by the so-called international community.
