Hundreds of Eritreans travel to Edinburgh to support Eritrea’s greatest athlete and Olympian Zersenay Tadesse

Hundreds of Eritreans from different parts of the UK traveled by coach, cars, train and vans to support Eritrea’s greatest ever athlete and Olympian Zersenay Tadesse at the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country. Jubilant scenes followed Zersenay’s second finish with flags waving, dancing, clapping, and cheering, which was covered live by the BBC.
Few hours after the race, Zersenay join his people at the reception that was organized by Eritrean community in Scotland. Zersenay celebrated his victory with his people to Eritrean tunes the whole evening. Zersenay gave a speech thanking everyone for the overwhelming support. Consulate General Mr. Salah was also gave speech at the celebration. The celebration was also attended by members of Scottish Parliament.
